 Is Life Merely a Simulation?

We have all likely wondered at some point: "Is life actually a simulation? Are we just 'Pokémon' on the Creator's computer panel?"

While this question may never be definitively answered—leaving the freedom of belief to the individual—religious literature often emphasizes that life is essentially a state of sleep. For instance, various scholars have translated the 52nd verse of Surah Ya-Sin in illuminating ways. In the Elmalılı translation, it reads: "Woe to us! Who has raised us from our place of sleep? This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth." Similarly, in other interpretations, the emphasis remains on the realization that the worldly life was but a temporary slumber from which humanity is finally awakened.

The conclusion to be drawn here, as I have mentioned in my previous blog posts, could be that our true bodies are asleep in the Elest Bezmi (the primordial covenant), and what we perceive as reality is actually a dream experienced by our physical forms in that realm. Consequently, a religious point of reference can be found for the idea that our experiences are part of a simulation.

Furthermore, the same logic can be applied to the "meta" that constitutes the seven universes. In other words, the entire cosmos could be a three-dimensional computer game. This might even explain why the heart—our connection point to the soul in the Elest Bezmi—is superior to the seven universes. Because our heart is our only remaining link to "true reality."

From this perspective, the Creator may have designed other 3D games as well; this could be how parallel universes are formed. This line of thought is critical because, if this hypothesis holds weight, it has the potential to provide answers to all fundamental existential dilemmas.
