The Origin of Time Perception and the Holographic Universe
The Origin of Time Perception and the Holographic Universe
As many people know, every individual's perception of time is different. In other words, a time interval that feels long according to some is short according to others.
Well, if time is so relative, can we talk about the absolute existence of time? Since time is relative, shouldn't it have a beginning, or what does this concept we call time require in order to exist? Is what we call infinity actually an abundance of time, or is it the stopping of time? I mean, if the very concept upon which time depends ceases to exist, time itself will vanish; so, is infinity the state at the exact moment that concept disappears? What is that instantaneous state when time vanishes, if not infinity itself?
If you wish, let this be enough questions and let us move on to the answers.
Yes, time is relative, and time—as we perceive it—was formed thanks to the entropy emerging from the Big Bang. In other words, we can say that time, in the sense we perceive it, requires entropy to exist; and since the universe is continuously expanding, it is impossible for this entropy to reset to zero anywhere. However, it is also a fact that as the expansion rate of the universe decreases, the flow of time accelerates in our perception. There will come a time in the future when the expansion of the universe stops, and when this happens, since time in the sense we know it will no longer remain, it will be as if infinity has been reached.
In the exact same way, when we consider that entropy has been 0 from the very beginning for the Creator, we can make sense of Allah being eternal (Al-Azal and Al-Abad—without beginning and without end). In this regard, the concepts of Heaven and Hell also find meaning. Since the Prophets lead their lives upon the straight path (Sirat al-Mustaqim), they live their lives immune to the entropy-increasing sins to which Iblis invites, and they take their place in the presence of Allah in Heaven, where their entropy becomes 0. Other people, on the other hand, stay away from entropy to the extent that they follow the Prophets, and they become close to Allah in Heaven to that same degree.
I do not wish to speak about the people of Hell, but we can say that they, too, become close to Iblis to the extent that they follow him.
